Warehouse operative CV example

A warehouse CV should distinguish goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch. This fictional example shows scanner-based picking and delivery checks without inventing pick rates or forklift credentials.

Fictional example. Names, employers and details are made up for illustration.

Fictional CV: contact details and profile

Example applicant · Leeds · [your phone] · [your email]. Contact details are placeholders, not a real person's information.

Warehouse operative with experience checking deliveries and preparing customer orders. Comfortable using handheld scanners and keeping stock areas organised. Seeking a warehouse role where accurate handling and safe working are important.

Work experience

Warehouse Operative — Example Distribution Centre · March 2023 – August 2025

The dates and employer below are fictional. Use your own work history, and use present tense only for duties you still perform.

  • Checked item codes and quantities against delivery paperwork and reported discrepancies.
  • Picked orders using a handheld scanner and checked products before packing.
  • Prepared labelled parcels for dispatch following the site's packing instructions.
  • Kept aisles clear and passed stock issues to the shift supervisor.

Skills and training

Training: workplace manual-handling induction, March 2023. No forklift qualification is claimed.

Education: Example Secondary School, completed June 2021. Replace this with your own relevant education, or omit education if it does not help your application. Do not copy fictional training into your CV.

  • Order picking
  • Scanner use
  • Delivery checks
  • Packing and labelling

Why this wording is useful for this role

The example names the workflow and equipment rather than saying only ‘warehouse duties’. It does not claim experience across every warehouse department. Scanner familiarity should not become a claim that you know every warehouse management system.

For an agency assignment, name the actual agency and describe the client site appropriately. Figures can help if you have reliable records, but describing accurate checking is sufficient without a manufactured pick rate.

Check before using the example

This is a writing example, not a claim about a real applicant or a promise of interviews. Your CV must reflect your own tasks, dates and qualifications.

  • Only include equipment you actually used.
  • List forklift training separately and accurately if you hold it.
  • Do not invent output targets or error-reduction figures.
  • Check whether the vacancy is picking, goods-in or dispatch.
